Partner Event: WNPS Close to Home Author Presentation
Thor Hanson, Author Presentation and Book Signing
Thor Hanson, acclaimed local author, will give a presentation on his recent book, Close to Home. Focusing on exploring and appreciating backyard biodiversity. The talk explores three themes about the nature in our yards and neighborhoods: what is out there, what is it doing, and what can we do to help it?
Doors will open at 6 pm. Prior to the presentation, Stewart Weschler will be available for plant ID at 6:30pm. Light refreshments will be available.

Partner Event: A Botanical Tourist Visits the Western Cape of South Africa
Join the Washington Native Plant Society as Sarah Gage presents highlights from her September 2025 tour of South Africa’s Western Cape and Namaqualand Provinces.
Doors open at 6 PM with a plant identification seminar with Stewart Weschler. Explore spectacular spring blooms, succulents, and unique flora from one of the world’s richest plant regions with speaker Sarah Gage.

Community Event: Snoqualmie Valley Seed Exchange
Join our friends at the Snoqualmie Valley Seed Exchange this year at Tolt Middle School where the community shares seeds, swap favorite varieties, and discover new plants to grow. The event is volunteer led and supported by donations, helping keep it accessible to everyone.

The 14th Annual HPSW Fall Bulb Sale
Hardy Plant Society of Washington will be hosting their annual fall bulb sale with lots of new bulbs added this year.
Over 300 varieties of spring blooming, fall planted, bulbs at great prices: Alliums, Galanthus, Spring Crocus, Narcissus, Tulips, Fritillarias, Muscari, and more.
There will also be a selection of potted bulbs such as Cyclamen and Colchicum (Fall Crocus), and many other perennial plants in gallon and 4″ pots from our nursery, as well as our HPSW seed packets for sale.
